SBA Workshop for Business TOMORROW MORNING

Tightened credit, layoffs, foreclosures, lack of sales are just a few of the problems that small business owners are facing in our current economy.  Let's face it times are tough right now for small business entrepreneurs.
Tough times call for business owners to look at operating their businesses differently. No longer can an entrepreneur wait for a customer to walk through the door. Nor, can a small business carry excessive inventory or receivables on the books. While business times are significantly different at the moment, they are still profitable times if handled correctly. The key to success is to bounce back, make aggressive changes and operate efficiently.
"Considering the current challenges that small businesses are experiencing, SBA is committed to assisting them weather this economic storm," said SBA Fresno Deputy District Director and Chief of Finance Ronald E. Truly.
The Porterville Chamber of Commerce and the City of Porterville have teamed with the Small Business Administration to offer a free "Economic Change is Here, Where are You?" workshop to help struggling small business owners fight back in this economy. The workshop is scheduled for Wednesday, May 27th in the Chamber Conference Room from 8:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. While the workshop is free registration is required. Please call 784-7502.  TODAY.
During the workshop, business owners and managers will learn about important strategies to consider in their business operations.
